metal dohicky that goes around in inflation under my finger nail about
half way up.. So, I presently dying in pain. I would say I am really tough
can handle pain. But this hurts rather bad.. a Friggen lot...
Still just waiting to hear from the vet.. Hoping it is something we can FIX.
I am not sure I mentioned my son is engaged.. TO Lindsay.... we lover her..
And I only have one son and he is the most wonderful son.
Well it put my photo first so this reads all backwards. Much like myself.
I reason I write in the blog is mostly for me, not sure to many read it. But I like
to put some words down of the real me. To my crazy life of what makes me
happy. Different then any family I have. I have had to live my life my way
Homeschooling, farming and trying to go natural. Well I will close for today-

No time to bloggggg....

Happy 2009.... I slept into the new year. I seem to be adjusting to my new wake up time of 5am. I love my new job. I am also getting excited for baby goats 1 month to go for our first kids.
Some struggles on the home farm.. A goat aborted this weekend and we froze it and she is on her way to Cornell as I type. I hope they find out what the problem is and there is a fix to it. We love all our goats so much and the unborn ones. I search my mind trying to think what is going on.. What could this be after 10 years in goats what happen. Is it from a raccoon, a goat I brought in? My Vet Dr Ken is wonderful caring and at least I feel I am not alone. Oh, and I hope I do not go broke finding a answer..

Let hope no more abort and my Daughter in law goat carries her kid to term with a healthy udder and baby..

My daughter Jessica is on winter break from Alfred State. One more semester and she will be a vet tech, Yippee for her, she has done well. I sure have enjoyed having her home.

Well more later the girls have the dentist in a soon-

Happy Birthday to me!

Yup, my birthday is just a few days away.. Making myself cheese cake and chowder. If the weather is not to bad I am sure my adult children will come a calling. Tim my other half is off all week. I will be working at my new job- which does not interfere time wise with real life but I am tired almost all the time because I am not used to waking at 5am. I try to nap midday. Does not seem to help by 8pm I feel sick and need to sleep. We are still working on Christmas cookies Kassy has made one kind so far. I did clean the house and mopped all the floors.
I will be double 4's this year. I feel pretty good and life is swell.
Each year I feel a little more in touch with ME.. Well off to wrap presents.
And OH we are in a major snow accumulation... I like the snow.. Makes some people mad but if it has to be winter why not have snow.. and Lizzie has 4 wheel drive this year!!!!!

how hard thee works

Monday- I had my new job milking 60 cows and my chores done by 10:30am.
Tuesday not so lucky.. First I could not find my keys, as I just threw them the day before.
Second I almost locked them in the truck as I got out at work. Then one of her cows tried to walk a type rope- Twice.... Thank God she did not fall in the pit.
Then the lights flickered and poof out went the pulsators. Waited for the repair man.. A hour later fixed enough for us to finish milking the cows. 10am started milking my cows, by noon off to the grocery store for all the supplies to make cookies. By 4:20 I need a nap... And no cookies to eat yet.
There is always tomorrow....

Differance a day makes

On Last Thursday I started milking 60 cows with a older lady who runs her own farm Six mornings a week. So, I get up at 5am, to her farm by 6am, home by 8:30, my chores by 9am, school by 11, Hopefully a nap by one.
I was surprised being used to farming how hard it was to milk 60 cows in a pit system. I am exhausted by the time we are done.
We also have two boarders for a month Banger and Boomer two of our neighbors horses while they are on a missions trip.
I always tell my kids that you never know what the day will bring. Enjoy each moment for what it is..

Sunday

It is so cold and windy in Western NY today. Think I am done shopping finally. Now to wrap, which is something Tim and I do together. We also got a tree. Tim wanted a potted tree to plant later. Money is tight I wanted a tree from the bargain place up the road. $25 any tree.

Yes, the price is right for me. Once Christmas is done the goats get to eat it.
Today I will add a picture of Tim and I we have been married since I was 17 and he was 19, still happy...
